Yep, like this little fellah!

Leaping off a diving board is a great metaphor for the writing experience. It takes a leap of faith to type Fade In. But you know what? It requires a similar act of faith to write ANY and EVERY scene!

Each time we sit down to write, we put our creative butt on the line … ‘coz we know once we type Fade Out … at some point. SOMEONE is going to read what we’ve written.

And that’s the water.

We fear it’ll be filled with sharks.

True. That IS a possibility.

But on the other hand, the water might be home to creatures like Jojo.

So, yes, by all means: Gotta jump. And here in the Zero Draft Thirty community … the water’s fine!
