Today’s Writing Quote
“Drama comes from objectives and obstacles. The stronger those two elements are, the more engaging the story.”

Today’s Inspirational Video
Hey, who is that young lookin’ fellah on the right, there? Why that would be ME back in 1979 performing as Myers & O’Flynn at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in front of about 5,000 music fans. And if the music doesn’t inspired, check out that mustache. Ron Burgundy had nothin’ on me!

Each day this month, I’ll post a Zero Draft Thirty Challenge post here at Go Into The Story. And as I’ve done with every past Challenge, I will hand out an award for a notable Tweet, Facebook post, or comment here on the blog. This cycle, the winner will receive the Anita Loos Award!
Today’s Anita Loos Award winner: Mark Renshaw.
Over at the Zero Draft Thirty Facebook group, Mark posted this:

Not often it happens. Normally, a writer needs to bang their head against the proverbial wall to fix a plot hole. One axiom a veteran writer told me years ago: “Make the problem the solution.” Sometimes that can help. But every so often, a plot hole can resolve itself. And you celebrate.
For that bit of inspiration, the recipient of today’s Anita Loos Award is Mark Renshaw!

This month, when you hit a plot holes … and DON’T fix them! When you’re writing a Zero Draft, you leave them be and keep moving forward. After you hit Fade Out, you know you will come back and address the issues.
But now… Go! Go! Go!
