Today’s Writing Quote
“It’s really important to know not to panic, it’s all going to come together; you’ve just got to keep pushing forward.”
— Lisa Cholodenko
Today’s Inspirational Video
If you’ve seen the movie Baby Driver, you may well notice some similarities with the Minto Royale music video. Here’s why: The video was directed by Edgar Wright. The concept of (A) a heist and (B) a musical derived from this experience. It took him over a decade to get the movie made, but he did, and it’s terrific. Inspiration hit Wright, it sustained his belief in the project for years, and finally saw him through its production.

Day 6: I did climb a mountain.
I actually finished the first draft of my feature script, 69 pages! It is yet a little short…
I’m very grateful for the existence of ZD30. Otherwise I might not have found the courage to try to write the script with so little time.
I do not think six days is enough to write a script. However, I did spend two years on and off on the treatment, so I was very well prepared.
Why I tell you all this? Since I’ve known about ZD30 I never managed to get anything done, because I could only dedicate /participate for ten days at the most. So I did write 35 pages and ended up in nowhere land. This time I knew I only had 7 days, but I wanted to go all the way. So I cancelled my flight home, stayed in the mountain cabin, turned off phone and internet and set my alarm clock for 7am.
So here I am: happy & proud!
For all of you who have so many days left, enjoy your journey!
Congratulations, Katrin. You’ve not only finished the first draft of your script, you’re also today’s recipient of the Anita Loos Award!

Congratulations, Katrin!
