Today’s Writing Quote
“If I could say anything, it’s keep going. Don’t go back and fix that scene, that dialogue. Just write the next word.”
— Ann Hamilton Phelan
Today’s Inspirational Video
“Steal Away” is an old African-American slave song and is thought to have been used as a code related to escape attempts. Sung here in a recording from 1957 by the great Mahalia Jackson, then joined by Nat King Cole. What an amazing voice she had!
Today’s Loos Award winner: Todd Densmore.
From a Zero Draft Thirty Facebook post:
GUYS!!!!!! I just wrote Fade Out and it felt good. It’s not a pretty script, it meanders, there are many subplots that need some fleshing out, but it’s a start. Thank you to all the positive and inspirational posts from you zeronauts and outlaws. I love seeing so many of us accomplish the challenge. And to all of those who are still struggling… You are NOT alone. Keep at it, keep at it, keep at it. Time for a drink!!
Indeed, time for a drink!

For that inspiration, the recipient of today’s Anita Loos Award is Todd Densmore.

Think of the celebration awaiting you when you hit FADE OUT!!!
